Long Ancient Egyptian Necklace c. 1500 B.C.

Made of beautifull green glazed faience mummy beads in tubular and round forms, all dating of the dynasty of King Tut-Ankh-Amen about 1570 – 1314 years b.c. It has in the center a pendant consisting of three large round form ancient Egyptian amber beads dating about 600-800 a.d.

Necklace is restrung and fitted with a new clasp, as the original string has of course turned to dust

Part of the private collection of New York City art dealer Susette Khayat, the daughter of archaeologist Azeez Khayat. Before the outbreak of WWII and any Egyptian artifact export bans, Khayat carried out extensive excavations in Egypt and many of his finds were purchased by American Museums including the New York Metropolitan and the Los Angeles County Art Museum. The items not wanted by museums were offered for sale.
