Batavia Mid-18th Century

BATAVIA.

A rare and unusual mid-18th century print of Batavia from the sea with a very unusual close perspective of Mount Salak and Mount Gede and the Puncak Pass col from a Dutch travellogue. The engraving is quite crude where compared with similar mid-18th century prints of Batavia.

Very good condition, measures 277 x 340 mm.
